FREEDOM CULTURE DOLLS was birthed from Angela's love of art, history, fashion and rich culture. A native of Virginia, Angela resides on a 103-acre farm in Southampton County, Virginia where she has been creating one-of-a-kind, hand-made cloth art dolls since 2018. She attended the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City where she majored in Fashion Design. Angela fashions cloth dolls for display, not play, in the images of family; grandmothers, mothers, fathers, aunts, uncles, sisters, and brothers as generational family keepsakes, for doll enthusiasts.
Each FREEDOM CULTURE ART DOLL is infused with 100% Virginia Cotton and fiberfill. These spirited cloth creations are made in a reflection of you and range in skin tones from ivory to chocolate.
Angela travels throughout Virginia and across the country preserving the art and history of hand-made cloth dollmaking by instructing private dollmaking classes and workshops for youth, adults and seniors. A form of Art therapy, cloth dollmaking is ideal for women, men, girls and boys to explore this creative ancestral art form.
